WELCOME FROM LAURA J. STEINBERG
I’m excited to share our first SchillerNow issue of 2024. There has been a lot of activity since our last newsletter, and we have even more on tap for the remainder of the semester. The Institute will be hosting a series of public lectures about the deleterious effects of climate change on global health and well-being. Our Core faculty have been very active, as you’ll see from the information below about Professors Tian, Huang, and Ming.

I’m also thrilled to introduce the newest member of the Schiller team. Kaley McCarty is the Institute’s new Assistant Director, Programs. Kaley is responsible for managing many of the Institute’s programs, including coordination of the COP delegation process. I encourage you to come meet Kaley and learn from the COP28 delegation during their Symposium on March 15th. The Symposium is a great opportunity for those interested in applying for future COP delegations.
I hope that everyone has returned from Spring Break feeling refreshed and energized, and I look forward to seeing you at a Schiller Institute event in the near future.
