WELCOME FROM LAURA J. STEINBERG
As the last of the foliage falls and the days have more of a chill, the Schiller Institute is full of activity. In this issue, you will learn about some of our newest endeavors. Perhaps the most noteworthy news is that we are embarking upon another search to expand our Schiller Core faculty. This search, like the last one that brought esteemed Professors Huang, Ming, and Tian to BC, will embody Schiller’s collaborative and interdisciplinary mission. Its focus will be on two senior professors at the interface of health and climate, and one senior social scientist working on climate change or the energy transition.

As we prepare for more Core faculty to join the Schiller Institute, I draw your attention to the newest member of our team, Javiera Garcia-Meneses, senior research fellow. Javiera will be applying her skills as a research psychologist to help us develop a better understanding of effective interdisciplinary practices. Please enjoy the feature on her below.
It takes a small village to deliver the Schiller Institute mission. Thank you to John Morawiec and his team for consistently ensuring the production of this newsletter is of the highest quality.
Please join the growing Schiller community by participating in our many programs, events, and partnerships. We look forward to seeing you soon.
